Something is off and it has to do with attachment and maturity. I speak to what moms can do when the OFF feeling comes to keep attachment and the maturation of their young ones on track and healthy. I help them see and feel the hope when parenting gets dark and hopeless, transforming it into wins and positive momentum that works in their favor while also connecting their children to Christ.
About Cherie
Hi, my name is Cherie Nilson, and I am mom to 7 offspring.
6 years ago i saw in my mind’s eye of a delinquent male teenager i would have on my hands if i didn’t make a 180 in my life. It opened my eyes to see what was staring me in the face in the attachment context of my home. i know what it’s like to feel zero power to influence my offspring toward Christ; i also know what it feels like to gain it back and to connect my children to Christ. this is why i speak to christian moms.
My goal is to inspire hope and motivation so that christian moms see and feel momentum in connecting their children to Christ.
When i am not speaking you can find me enjoying tall tall trees, curating and leading impactful family events with my husband, and orienting my offspring in their endeavors. i look forward to connecting and being a part of your next event so that, together we can create hope and momentum for these moms.

Connecting Children To Christ: Using Unashamed Inner Guidance
Learn how to see attachment and maturity as the blueprint to connect your children with Christ in the most fool-proof way. Attachment from infant to age 6 is the blueprint for connecting with your children AND God. After walking through these contexts, attendees will see their child’s attempts at connection in a new light, giving them renewed hope in the process of living as God intended - in families.
Following this new way of seeing will bring clarity to your interactions at home bequeathing the fruits of the spirit with the result of more kindness in the home.
Using Attachment and Maturation to Raise Men and Women of Integrity
Nurture from a mindset of attachment friendly phrases and beliefs that work with the natural development or maturation of the mind and body. These two together balance each other, allowing for adaptive movement forward on the part of the child and parental power on the part of the ones responsible to care for the child.
Attendees will walk away with a basic knowledge of attachment theory based on Dr. Gordon Neufeld’s work coupled with scriptures to support the reality of this theory. Honor and integrity are byproducts of mature men and women. Attendees will experience how the communication in raising children changes as they mature to allow for a stronger honor and integrity response.
The Counterfit to what God intended Attachment to be: Peer Orientation
Attendees will see Attachment in a whole new light where men and women are to attach themselves to God and what it looks like when they attach to each other. The one responsible for the care of adults is God, yet we tend to look to each other instead of Him. This is peer orientation.
The talk will give attendees new ways to look at their interactions with each other to discern for themselves if they are coming from a place of their primary attachment being to God or being toward their peers. God is to hold that primary attachment space for all mankind on earth - adults included.
